My teaser today is taken from: Under The Eye Of God by Jerome Charyn
pg. 107
She gathered her articles of clothing, and she was gone, dancing out his door, half-undressed, her thighs like magnificent supple sticks. It took him less than a minute to mourn her absence.

I wonder who the girl is? Sounds like somebody is in love (or lust) haha.

Hi Mary Ann,
ReplyDeleteFantastic teaser lines, they leave nothing, yet everything, to the imagination.
I checked out the author and book, as both are new to me and I wanted to know exactly which genre 'Under The Eye Of God' was from.
I certainly wasn't expecting it to be a crime/mystery, but as this is probably my favourite genre, then I was suitably pleased to have discovered another new author for my list.
The only potential problem seems to be that all of this large series of books, seem to need to be read in sequence, which is mre than a little off-putting.
Thanks for bringing this author to my attention,
Yvonne
I've never seen supple sticks and thighs in the same sentence before :) Thanks for sharing on Read@UTS!

ReplyDeleteGreat teaser. Sounds like this isn't exactly what you'd term a "relationship" if he only misses her for one minute!

Interesting teaser, it sort of reminds me of a 007 movie (although sadly the women with Bond often end up dead).
ReplyDeleteGreat Tease!
