"What book-to-movie adaptation have you most liked? Which have you disliked?
Pride & Prejudice is the one I liked, and the one I didn't like was Vanity Fair because in the movie , Reese Witherspoon's character was made likeable but in the book , she was cold and vindictive.
Which Pride and Prejudice? the A & E version? because that one was my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteI saw several Pride and Prejudice adaptations but the book is still on my TBR.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!
Would you believe I haven't seen either movie?
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the movie OR read the book. I am so bad.
ReplyDeleteLet’s kick off Memorial Day Weekend with some scandal and controversy.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved every minute of the Lord of the Rings films and felt they hit the mark when they brought Tolkien’s masterpiece to the big screen.

Definitely agree on P&P! I did like the movie version of Vanity Fair, but definitely agree that the movie Becky Sharp was nowhere near as vindictive as she was in the book.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I've still only seen the movies for both of your picks. I have P&P in my TBR pile but not Vanity Fair yet. I will have to look for it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
I agree on Vanity Fair!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog - I am a new follower!
I also didn't like Vanity Fair (either the book or the movie).
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and have a great weekend
I know film makers have to make the films exciting but to change a storyline or character is a shame.
